Taco Bell's new shrimp tacos Mon, 03/22/10 6:19 PM (permalink)
On a road trip to Denver and back to So Cal this past weekend for a business matter, my wife, and our best friends couple-next door neighbors got caught in a need to eat situation late at night in th Utah desert with only a dual Taco Bell & KFC outlet open, our neighbors opted for KFC grilled chicken while my wife and i chose the new shrimp tacos at the bell, must admit-they were fairly good, 5 or 6 mini-breaded fried shrimp thrown in a flour tortilla with lettuce-tomatos and a spicy tartar sauce, it hit the spot until we made it to St Georges for a decent breakfast just before the break of dawn. i would order those shrimp tacos again, however I would request it to be served in a corn tortilla, even if its a shell like their traditional tacos.

We are on a road trip right now for a family funeral and stopped at a Taco Bell in Central Illinois on Sunday. The shrimp taco was quite good but the shrimp were not fried but grilled and served with a tangy sauce. In some situations on the road in small towns on a Sunday, TB is about the only thing open and the lesser of other fast food evils.

$2.79 is too much. I drove through the drive-thru without ordering after I saw that. I can get real fish tacos right down the street from the TB and they are only $2.00.

Del taco has fish tacos that are more authentic ala cabbage instead of lettuce.Long John Silvers has one on their value menu. Its okay in a rush.

I tried one last week and it was pretty bad.  Even worse than the usual TB food.
