I saw where Obama was spending the weekend at Pine Grove Inn in Ashville, NC. I have stayed there many times and it is a beautiful place. http://www.pinegroveinn.com/ I also saw where he made the entire group stop at 12 Bones BBQ. I have never been there but their menu looked pretty good to me. Anyone know anything about it? http://www.12bones.com/ Paul E. Smith Knoxville, TN

Tom, Maybe they grow shorter Pigs in Western N C ??? , Saving the " Spare Rib" (pun intended) for the Basketball Teams ! (not an ethnic comment, intended a an explanation of the unusual height of those players!) OR Maybe it's a Tax Issue ? Y'Know, Beat the 13th Rib Tax by growing a 12 Rib Pig???)

That last rib might just be an unlucky one.

georgiagal Paul....didn't he stay at Grove Park Inn? Yes he did. We have had several meetings at the Prove park Inn. My friend and I had a suite. Several of them are named for presidents that have stayed there. The place is pretty nice in my opinion and a great view of Ashville, NC. Good food and spa also. Paul E. Smith Knoxville, TN

Caver, That's why the 'Lady Hogs' sold for BBQ establishments are all named "Ailene" and the 'Lady Hogs' destined for the Chinese restaurants are named "Irene", Right??

Southern Living says they won a local taste test,Reputation is naturally built around their blueberry chipotle ribs, although pairings with orange, peach and pumpkin are a past natural. A new direction. Tom
