It does look good, but it's not exactly a Newark style Italian Hot Dog. This sandwich features beef dogs; the one here seems like it has spicy sausages. The potatoes are sliced or in chunks; not french fries. Onions (though I exclude them) are also different. The pizza bread has a weird yellow color. The closest thing I've seen to an Italian Hot Dog outside of Jersey is this place in the Bronx: http://www.roadfood.com/Forums/Italian-Hot-Dogs-coming-to-the-Bronx-m483234.aspx Only thing that keeps it from 100% authenticity is that the dogs are boiled rather than fried.

That doesn't look like what I call the American way. I like my dog as hand food, guess I am a traditionalist.

The Newark Italian style Hot Dog is as American as you can get. Although it's more of a sandwich than an actual hot dog, you can eat a single with one hand. Didn't you metion that you might like the hot dog egg roll in the other thread? There's less tradition there and it certainly doesn't look like an "American" hot dog.
