Do you remember the DanDee Donuts chain from central new york Sat, 07/17/10 11:25 PM (permalink)

Growing up in Rome N.Y., DanDee Donuts located at, 401 Black River Blvd, was a big part of my life. Not only the donuts but the bread. When I was a teenager. my friend's mother worked there and would give us free coffee and donuts (shhh! Don't tell the Ferlo's).
There were more scattered throught Central N.Y. They were usually 24 hrs. one by one, they closed. Thankfully, the Ferlo family opened another bakery so you can still get the bread.

There was a Dandee Donuts Located in Fulton NY and Oswego NY  (near Syracuse).  They have been closed in the early 90s IIRC.
A place I worked in also had prewrapped frozen plain donuts from Dandee that came from a food wholesaler and were sold in vending machines.
    This was the late 70s.

I remember Dan-Dee Donuts in the smaller cities, like Utica, Fulton, Oswego, etc. I believe I went to the one in Oswego a couple times on visits up there in the late 80s - late night after Broadwell's and other infamous watering holes of Oswego.

The one in Oswego was located on East First Street, near the Bridge Street bridge.  I believe it's a cell phone store now.  There may have another one too, on the west side.

I remember seeing them, but don't remember ever going to one. I grew up in Auburn, and Mister Donut was our go-to place until it closed.
