New burger for you...recipe

Maybe this is an old recipe but today I thought of it , had my lead cook make me one, it's damn good and silly simple. My burgers are 1/2 lb. 80-20, I had him rough cut into small slices, 2 slices of bacon and hand mix it into a patty, fried it to the point of adding the cheese, put on the cheese, melted to perfection, incredibly good bacon cheeseburger, with a twist. Try one at home.

The bacon goes in to the mix raw? Does it cook through? Not a fan of limp bacon here so that's why I'm doing the questioning.

Nope, raw bacon, the bacon grease cooking thru the meat gives off terrific flavor, and although the inside bacon doesn't get crunchy, you don't get the feeling of eating rubbrey bacon, which I too dislike...give it a try!

I just took out a hamburger patty to thaw for for tonight. I'll add some peppered bacon pieces and remake the patty and let you know whether you're a genius or a doofus.
