Flanders Fish Market

Today's featured restaurant (Friday, Oct. 1, 2010), Flanders Fish market, is one of my favorite places. Not only have I enjoyed eating there -- and their haddock sandwich is the very best I've ever had -- but I've never been disappointed with the mussels or steamers I've gotten bought to bring to my daughter's home in Old Lyme to cook.

Do they serve whole bellies? Everything looks and sounds fantastic. On my list.

Abbots and Flanders Fish market are completely different animals. Abbots is a shoreside place, much more casual than the other. I like them both. Clinton, eh? My first sailboat, a 13-foot Wood Pussy, was built in Clinton by John Ek.
