how to make hash browns fast, easy and cheap?

hehe, ok give all the "quality and cheap blablabla.."  Im thinking one litttle red onion to every three potatoes, oregano, cumino, Tabasco salt pepper. put all in linen cloth and squeze out the water, fry til almost done and freeze. rey on order till siszling hot. ? so whatdo you guys say?
