also, how much co2 is in the soda on the dispense? im basically trying to figure out how much it is costing me for a 12oz and 20oz cup.

If your using a POST MIX set up with the syrup the soda and water mix at the gun.  All post mix set-ups also use a carbonator machine AND a bottle of Co2.
 
If you using a PRE-mix set up only a Co2 bottle is needed.
 
Depending on how much soda you sell will determine how much Co2 you will use.
 
 
ALSO NOTE:  That the chart above with the amount of servings is
for the "bag in box" POST-mix setups.
Pepsi, Coke and Brand X  PRE-mix are usually are sold in the 5?gallon
steel tube containers.  You will get less servings than shown above.

The Brix cup is used to measure the amount of syrup to water ratio, Mc'd uses a ratio of 4.75 to one, most are Brix between 4 and 5 to one. This is a much easier way to figure out a cost for the size of the cup you use. Lets say you have a 5 to 1 brix on a 16 oz cup with ice 1/4 filled. It may take 12 oz of usable product from the fountain to fill the cup, using 2 oz of syrup. If the 5gal BIB cost $52 then the total cost of syrup for the 16 oz cup is 16 cents................Bill

the coke rep is coming by tomorrow to check out my cart and see if she can get me approved and signed up with coke so the guy can come out and do the proper ratios.
 
ive been all over the web for the brix cup and the syrup seperator, so i have that stuff down, im just wondering if anyone or yourself has actually done it, and if its a complicated process to do. ive kinda done it myself already adjusting the screws on the water and syrup just by taste, so i think im ok, but i might be wasting syrup, which would be costing me more moola.

Coke will set it up to what they feel is the best Brix for their product. Like I said in the other post, Mc'd Brix at 4.75 to one. Talk with the Coke guy and learn how he does it.....I think mine is Brix at 4 to 1..................Bill
