Cured and Smoked Octopus Bacon

Here's a challenge for all of you with smokers! Go to www.aerogold-advantex.com and click on (1) English, (2) Restaurants and then (3)Grilled Octopus Bacon. There you will find a recipe for "Grilled Octopus Bacon Wrapped Sea Scallops" provided by the much-acclaimed C Restaurant in Vancouver, B.C. The recipe includes instructions for brining (14-18 hours) and smoking (1 1/2 to 2 hours)the octopus. Buying the octopus and sea scallops in Pittsburgh is no problem, but with the forecast for +5 F. here tomorrow night, I doubt that I'll be breaking out my smoker this weekend.

The Sundancer is not a talented smoker and dad gum no good BBQ' er and that sounds like a challenge that I will not attempt. I will stay what I am. A mediocre at best BBQ fan. Paul E. Smith Knoxville, TN

Oops, at first I thought that was for "all of us smokers". Maybe an alternative to the patch!

Yep, just stick the octopus to your arm and let it suck away!
