Remember Dairy Isle?

I was born and raised in Springfield Ohio, and in the 60's and early 70's, we had a walk-up ice cream/ frozen dessert franchise called Dairy Isle. I know of at least 3 that were in Springfield, and I remember seeing other outlets in middle Ohio towns at the time. Anyone recall these restaurants. Just a basic Dairy Queen-type establishment that had a couple of picnic tables in the back. They made a fantastic steak sandwich, that was very messy, what with the gravy and all, but it was great!

There are 3 or 4 in the Newark / Heath Ohio area. Love the steak sandwich, foot long coney, fried mushrooms, bbq beef sandwich.
