Anyone tried it? AOL homepage had a picture and a story about it, gave it a grade of B, it looked like overcooked Steakums, the cheese and bacon looked ok.

I am thoroughly addicted to their 3-pepper sauce. I will eat it on anything and often just fill one of their stupid little paper cups with it and down it like a shot of whiskey. I actually find the tasteless "regular beef" sandwiches make a useful base for the sauce because they don't interfere with the flavor (having none of their own). I don't think anything with bacon or cheese would work nearly as well. @ annpeeples: I suppose you know that the present "chopped and formed" meat-product they call beef was once REAL steamship rounds of beef hand carved onto their sandwiches. I remember those in the 1960s.

Yes I do, BT. And I cannot stand chopped and formed lunchmeat of any kind.I was a deli manager for years and sold tons of the stuff. But I recall fondly the Arbys of old, and look elsewhere for a good roast beef sandwich.

a review of an Arbys sandwich not made at an Arbys is a joke no matter if it was made at a culinary institute. review it made FROM an Arbys rest. itself. I happen to like Arbys plain RB sandwichs with just Arbys sauce or the toasted subs. just got a bunch of coupons today. thats the only way I'll eat ANY fast fod is at a dicount or BOGO. otherwise their fodd isn't worth full price.

Don't waste your money on this....... made me want to scream WHERES THE BEEF????? no meat and it looked like it was run over by a truck. Don't waste your 5 bucks on it. Go to a local place and get a proper beef sandwich. I sent an e mail to them which will go nowhere, but I won't be back. They lost a customer over that horrible thing they want to call a sandwich

chewingthefat IntelligentT82 I'm going to go and try it today and report on it sometimes this week. If you survive! I survived. The Arby's Bacon and 3 Cheese was a salty, little-2-no meat waste of my time. I even liked the Angus Chipotle BBQ Burger at McDonalds better.

According to their web page it's a real roast beef at least. I would like to try one without the bacon and the cheeses. It's also touted to be the same type of roll (amoroso) that's used on Philly cheese steaks. "The beef is a 94 percent lean top round with a light rub of black pepper, salt, garlic and onion". A friend of mine had one a couple of days ago and declared it "terrible". ......said there was very little meat and that the cheese was "disgusting".

I worked at an Arby's while in 10th grade... I sometimes get a craving for that bogus beef but I am most certainly with Bob on this one, 2 toasted subs for $4.00 with a coupon= pretty good. BUT 1 toasted sub (without a coupon) for $3.69=Eh, no thanks.
