...Blue Moon.
Kathy and I were on University Avenue in Madison at suppertime tonight so we decided to stop in at the Blue Moon Bar.  Burgers are the main menu item so she ordered a cheeseburger and I had the "Pile Driver", both medium-rare, with a small side order of french fries to share.
They were cooked to order on the open flattop behind the bar, hot, juicy, and served quickly; the Pile Driver is a half-pounder topped with a slice of griddled ham, 3 slices of cheese, and fried onions and definitely filling (although I skipped the onions).  The fries appeared to be the standard frozen crinkle-cut variety so if I had to do it again I'd probably get something else, but they were handy for sopping up the burger juice in the bottom of my basket.
And while it doesn't matter to everybody, Blue Moon has Capital on tap.  I didn't hear anything after "doppelbock" and if Kathy hadn't been there to supervise I might still be keeping a barstool warm.
