Howdy!
I am an American who lives in China and have lived here for about 10 years now.
There are two food items that I love that I just love that I cannot find here. One and more important is cheese dip. Just the jar of the stuff one would find in a junk food aisle in any typical American store.
http://www.fritolay.com/assets/images/blue/fritos-dip-chili-cheese.gif I cannot find this product anywhere, even in Shanghai, where a lot of western items can be purchased (for example, I have to go to Shanghai for FRITOES).
I do not have Velveeta. This seems to be a key ingredient. I do and can have access to other kinds of cheeses. I think I have a crock pot, but I have never used it (I have a Chinese wife and it is used for Chinese cooking). Is a crock pot necessary, or could I use a pot? Help!
The other thing I cannot get here are sweet pickles. Korean people love sweet pickles, but I cannot get them here. I do buy dills, but I want the sweet! I have procured a stray jar in the past here and there, but it is almost impossible to find. I went to Hong Kong last year and got two jars of cheese dip and two jars of pickles, and wished I had two cases shipped home.
How do i make Cheese Dip?
