Palms Grille Cafe, Atlanta, IL

Roadside America in their tips( http://www.roadsideamerica.com/tip/29260 ) has a short review of Palms Grille Cafe, 110 Arch St., Atlanta, IL on Route 66.  Hours: Su-Th 8 am - 5 pm, F-Sa 8 am - 8 pm.  The person who posted it says, "What sets it apart is their sensational food that includes not only Fried Baloney sandwiches, but even better a fried SPAM sandwich that definitely doesn't skimp on the SPAM. And save room for the homemade pie -- they've won numerous state fair awards and are as good as any I've ever eaten."  There is also a Route 66 museum in the back room.  It sounds like it might be worthwhile to check out if anyone is down that way.

Sounds like a winner, 6star!  I don't think I've ever read of a restaurant serving SPAM sandwiches - I thought it was just a homemade sort of thing.
