How many of you only eat ice cream in the summer?

Or only only eat soup in the winter. Wonder how many people still follow these "traditions" Obviously some things are only available during certain seasons like maybe fresh corn but for the most part I wonder if these traditions are a thing of the past.

I eat more ice cream in the summer and more soup in the winter, but it has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with tradition and everything to do with the fact that when it's 95F with 80% humidity I would far rather have something cold than something hot. Similarly, when it's -10F with a wind chill of -25F I would far rather have something hot than something cold. I do eat both in both seasons, however. It's just harder to get ice cream in winter around here because every single ice cream parlor closes for the season. I do, however, buy it at the grocery store.

I eat both year round. Today it was 107 degrees in AZ and I had Home-made Veggie soup for lunch. Doesn't make any difference as long as the A/C doesn't blow up in Summer and the Heat Pump doesn't blow up in Winter! We keep the house between 72-77 Degrees year round!

Ice cream and soup are two of my favorite foods. Anytime for either is fine with me.

I eat more ice cream in the winter. (In the summer when the stands are open, it is soft-serve time!) By the way, my favorite this past winter has been Turkey Hill Black Raspberry. It is not a "swirl", but rather has the black raspberry puree blended all the way through.

I am more of a novelty bar type of person. Blue Bunny makes a dark chocolate coated raspberry ice cream bar that is fabulous. And I have always loved Bomb Pops.Of course, as we have several frozen custard stands around( Kopp's, Leon"s, Gilles) that is my go to treat.I eat these things all year round, but certainly more in the summer.

I've never been wild on ice cream, but usually only eat in the summer. An exception to eating it in colder months might be if it was served with a warm topping like bananas Foster, or as Cherries Jubilee. Dip cones were always a favorite and I think it was because of the chocolate coating. I keep vanilla ice cream bars on a stick with chocolate coating in the freezer, and I've discovered Simply Dipped Drumstick ice cream cones that tastes like a dark chocolate coating and without the peanut topping. I have nothing against peanut toppings, but makes a mess when they fall off in bed.

LOL, Belle. Bob hates when I eat drumsticks in bed. He ends up with the peanuts on his butt... Thanks for the heads up on the Simply Dipped Drumsticks...

Iwanago and myself take the Miata out with the top down in the evening to Rita's where the Italian ice and their custard is outstanding. We do not do it often but about once a month Paul E. Smith Knoxville, TN

Yeah, I eat most ice cream in the summer, and soup in the winter. Just seems to be natural that way.

I'll eat ice cream any time during the year, but with a few exceptions (Brickley's in RI being one), in recent years it's primarily when near the Uconn Dairy Bar (Storrs). Their toasted almond is totally incredible. They set the bar so high that nothing else can compare - certainly not any packaged product.

I only eat ice cream during the summer. In fact, that is the only thing I do. I eat only ice cream during the summer... I eat ice cream only during the summer... I only eat ice cream during the summer... All very different! Actually, I eat ice cream whenever I please, I LOVE ice cream. It is a gift from the world to humans.
