good luck with that, sk bob, lol ! Hey, bookluvinbabe, where did you go ???? That was a vailid & cute point about 2 posts in 5 years not being a regular or even casual poster. I think the FOLLOW UP is very important, when posting for Roadfood ideas. It's gr8 to get back on the thread, as much as possible to interact with any posts that might've been made toward u. My 1st post was about 5 years or so ago, when I asked about Buffalo , NY restaurants. I was planning a fun trip , flying from JFK to BUF on Jet Blue, just for a few days ... And I loved the way Roadfooders networked with me. I felt connected, and made sure to keep interjecting in the thread. I LOVE the BRICKYARD for burgers in Daytona !! I've been there 3 times already, including back in May. It was nice meeting u there , sk bob, during our Foodie get together in 2008 !! I also enjoy the Burger at the STONEWOOD Grill very much.

Quick report-- My son LOVED Red Bone Alley in Florence. I thought it was just okay but it was plenty of food and he was amused by the indoor ice cream truck. We had a good meal at Down the Hatch in Ponce Inlet--great outdoor seating on the water, plentiful food. A very nice smoked fish dip. I liked the food at Our Deck Down Under in Port Orange quite well. The crabcake was tasty, the grilled mahi mahi was fresh and the outdoor seating was again lovely. I was disappointed in the Original Stavros Pizza in Daytona Beach. Too much cheese, not enough sauce, not great service. My son never even took a bite of the pizza and opted to fill up on lasagna instead. It was a good trip but I think I'll cook more next time!

too bad about Stavros. IMO you can never have to much cheese. the service has never been great, but adequate. the food offsets it. glad you could do a review of your trip.

sk bob Hey Ellen, great to hear from you again. BaahBen is planning a Brickyard get together for October, are you up to it? Hi sk bob !! WOW, I'd sure love that ! I'll work on squeezing yet another FOODIE trip in , lol !! I recently booked a flight to Chicago for late August.. (lots of stuff Ellen likes : burgers, hot dogs, steaks, etc :) Flying to Myrtle Beach in Sept for 2 days. Then it's ACY-FLL in November, for the "BURGER BEAST beastie awards" in Miami :) BUT, that leaves October OPEN, does'nt it, lol ?!? ,

MiamiDon It's the Burgies, Ellen! hi Miami Don! Tnx for the correction !! The BURGIE awards !!!!! And , tnx for the note to me pointing out that the BEAST is holding "WENDY" in his hand . I probably would'nt have noticed it, otherwise... it's clever :) (along with the ketchup bottle !)

That's a shame about Stavros, we ate there this past Saturday and I was is pure heaven. We had 2 15 year olds and an 11 year old and we really enjoyed it even though the service was slow BUT we did order 4 pizzas.
