US 395 and Lone Pine, California,,,WOW! Thu, 06/23/11 4:01 PM (permalink)
My wife and I had occasion to drive through Death Valley over Spring Break in April and we stayed overnight in Lone Pine on US 395 (awesome scenic drive along the back side of the Sierra Nevada Range) and we had dinner in Lone Pine at a reataurant called "Seasons".  WE live in Las Vegas and there is no end to the number of excellent steak houses there...but...I've got to say the steaks we both had at Seasons was incredible.  It was called the "Baseball Cut" and I've never heard of that one before but it was large in size and delicious in flame grilled flavor (probaby about a 14-16 fat to trim off).  I wasn't into their veggies so I also asked for a fruit substitute and that was a meal in itself (blueberries, strawberries, orange slices, raspberries and seedless grapes).  Cost per dinner was about $25 so it isn't cheap, but well worth the price.  I also believe they are only open for dinner from 4 till about 9:30 PM.
