You will find a good lunch at Yianni's Cafe next to city hall.

Hey, I've been to The Crab Trap. I don't recall it being too bad... pretty decent actually. Remarkable? Nope. But it was good.

In my book, there are two MUST VISIT restaurants in Ocean City.

One is Mack and Manco's Pizza on the boardwalk (I think they have 3 locations).  Not the best pizza in the world, but it's pretty freaking good for a boardwalk joint.    They do huge volume in the summer, so the quality varies wildly, but it's well worth a try.

Second is Voltaco's. They make gigantic hot and cold subs, including cheesesteaks.  Absolutely phenomenal.  If not for the White House in Atlantic City, Voltaco's would be the best sub shop in the state.

                      Yup.  These.

Mack and Manco - if you like pizza that's pretty thin and on the saucy (not cheesy) side, then they're for you.  For me, the best option is a birch beer to wash the slices down.
Voltaco's makes great Italian dishes for a group - imagine a $50 big pan of baked ziti...that kind of thing.  Take out only.
I also like Jay's Crab Shack on Asbury - I can't say the food is wildly unique, as in rare ingredients or anything like that...but the young guy (Jay, no relation) puts a maryland spin on Jersey seafood classics.  Very casual, more like eating at a bar if you eat in.
There's also Charlie's bar and grill on the other side of the bridge in somer's point - AWESOME patty melts, burgers and other bar food.

Funny - we started going to OC about 10 years ago for other reasons, but it really has a great food scene, even in the off-season.  You could easily spend a week, eat out every lunch and dinner (even some breakfasts) at different places and have a bunch of decent meals without ever leaving OC or maybe somer's point.   Have fun!

Here is a hoagie or sub as they call it from Voltaco's

Sack o' Subs on Asbury makes good cheesesteaks and hoagies as well.
