The Future of The Beef Industry In Texas

I fear for the future of the beef industry here in the state of Texas due to the severity of the dought. All across central Texas stock tanks have dried up, grazing areas are brown and dusty, hay has gone from forty dollars a round bale to over one hundred. But worst is that ranchers are selling their herds because they cannot afford to feed them. This includes their breeding stock. I think in the near term there will be a glut of beef but soon in the future that brisket sandwich at Smitty's will cost fifteen or twenty bucks. Hope I'm wrong but in case I'm not, I am buying a freezer and a vacuum sealer.
