Bubba Burgers

It seems like very few people are posting any pictures at all of what they're cooking. It might not be extravagant, but Bubba BLT burgers on publix french hamburger rolls, with homemade macaroni salad. We used to be able to get a 2Lb box (six 1/3rd lb burgers) for $6.50 on sale. In this weeks flyer for Food Lion they were on sale for $9 something. They are now the official burger of International Speedway Corporation (Daytona, Talladega, and Watkins Glen, plus other tracks that they own). Could that be the reason why the price went so high???

They were surprisingly good. I think they are between 8-9 bucks at wallyworld or publix.

I've seen them in the frozen food section of my local Piggly Wiggly but have never purchased any because I always have a good supply of ground beef from my annual bulk purchase. But they certainly look good! I remember reading awhile back about the price of ground beef going up, although I can't recall the specific reasons. So I don't think it's just a Bubba Burgers thing. I've always found buying branded meat to be a little strange, probably because when I was growing up my mom always bought meat at the grocery store meat counter or local meat locker and that's how I learned it. I bought some Bubba Burgers recently to keep in the freezer for an "emergency". I was impressed by the lack of fillers or artificial ingredients- they are 100% beef. Unfortunately, it just didn't taste very good. I've never cooked a burger with less "BEEF" taste.

The cooking method got me at first because they insist that they should be cooked frozen and turned at a certain point. Once I followed the directions exactly they came out quite good.

If we're cooking out with more than a few people, we usually get a couple boxes of Bubbas, just for convenience sake. They're not drop-dead spectacular, but not bad either. Otherwise it's handmade burgers.

My wife and I are interested in doing something like that but I don't quite understand the cost comparison between that and buying at the grocery store.. honestly, I just dont understand how it works nor all the terms they use.

Just saw them at Publix today. $10.49 for a two pound box. 6- 1/3lb patties. Also apparently have a few varieties that i've never tried.

For frozen pre-formed patties, I always go with the GFS 1/4 or 1/3 pound ones. They've always been a hit at any tailgate or picnic.

That's such a bad price compared to the sale price you can get ot some meat counters. Our Meijer had ground Angus chuck on sale for 1.69 the other day. I bought 12 pounds.. I couldn't help myself.

I'd like mine cooked just a little bit more with mustard, please. Your pictures are great and appetizing even with the drizzle of ketchup.

Bubba Burger is a great product. And I'm nuts about macaroni salad, too.

I don't blame you. It never gets close to that cheap around here. It was "on sale" at Publix a couple of weeks ago for $3.89 lb. deepfryerdan That's such a bad price compared to the sale price you can get ot some meat counters. Our Meijer had ground Angus chuck on sale for 1.69 the other day. I bought 12 pounds.. I couldn't help myself.
