Doctors Group Says Hot Dogs More Dangerous Than Cigarettes

Thought you'd find this interesting.  However, I still can't resist a great hot dog.

That being the case, I'll keep my dogs as one of my bad habits since I don't smoke.  Seems more than a fair trade.

If you notice in the article, the information is from the "The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, a Washington, D.C., group  that promotes preventive medicine and a vegan diet". 
 
What did you expect?  Hot dogs contain meat!  Cigarettes are a vegetable product!  Therefore, since the Committee is a vegan group, hot dogs have to be more dangerous.

These clowns have a billboard up outside of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway this week as NASCAR is in town this weekend. Like thats going to keep even one person from buying a hot dog. Food Nazis strike again.

I get my dogs pre-smoked so they can't be unhealthy for me.  Besides, I'm not racing any cars.

It's hard to smoke a hot dog. Can't keep the damn thing lit!

To celebrate, we had some good delicatesssen franks today on the grill, plus I cracked open a can of Spam with Bacon.
 
They had one of these wingnuts interviewed on our local station and she went on about how it was all processed or smoked meats - not just hot dogs.  Bacon, Ham, jerky, everything.
 
Notice how they started with the hotdogs, I guess they didn't want to tackle bacon or ham first. Give it time, they will get on to those, especially if they manage to get hotdogs outlawed. (no, of course they haven't yet said they want to make them illegal, but give them a few years just like the anti happy meal people)

breathing the air is bad for you too, but they don't say anything about that. give me 3 dogs with MOS, 2 Buds & a Marlboro.now thats triple jeopardy. just the way I like it.

I love hotdogs but I wouldn't even pretend they were a healthy food choice.

I'm thinking you've got the right idea - it's food - we eat stuff way worse than than this - maybe not every day but we do eat it - it's part of life!  I get so tired of hearing of all the health medical  updates that studies show that if we're eating or drinking this or that we're going to fall out and bleed out of our ears and feet.
 
People have been living on this planet for a long time - everyone is different.  We love food - we usually decide on our own what's best and not so best for us -
perhaps the reason I'm on the soapbox tonight is because I spent 3 hours this afternoon in a meeting about somethings that should have give us answers but it didn't happen.

I have been eating hot dogs since Roosevelt was in office. 
No not TEDDY, Joe Rogo, the other one.  Some were good and some were bad just like presidents----and I am still here.  Wherever here is !!!!!
