rmaleh Am heading up there this weekend from Bethesda, MD- going up 270 to 15...looking for suggestions along the way as well as in Carlisle, PA. thanks! Sorry I can't provide the names of any good places to eat in Carlisle, PA. The few reviews of restaurants in Carlisle would tend to indicate that Carlisle is not a "Foodie" destination... However... You are passing by one of my all time favorite barbecue joints in Emmitsburg (on the right side of Route 15 as you head north): Chubby's Southern Barbeque - chubbysbbq(dot)com (I can't post urls yet...) 16430 Old Frederick Road Emmitsburg, MD 21727 (301) 447-3322 I would not miss stopping there - since you're passing right by... -=Wienie Will=-

Sunnyside Restaurant on Hanover St., just off Harrisburg Pike. One of the best crabcake sandwiches I have ever had was at this place. The soup was to die for.

More of a sit-down dinner or lunch with the basic American fare, but the Boiling Springs Tavern http://www.boilingspringstavern.net/ is an interesting place to visit right on the water if you're into the historical tavern thing.
