Well, I finally had one of the new Doubles with cheese last night and I was totally underwhelmed. Juicy? Not even close. Both patties were dry as anything and definitely overcooked. No grease or juice in them at all and the bun was not up to par. A couple of smallish rings of onion and a few floppy pickles. The wettest part of the burger was the condiments. I was certainly unimpressed with it and it will be a long time before I go back there, and it likely won't be to get one of their new burgers. In my area, I'll stick with 5 Guys for a regular burger and go to Bub's in Carmel for a really good treat. Wendy's lost me on this one.

all of the FF places can try to reinvent whatever they want & come up with a great product in the corporate kitchen.
then they turn it loose to the Johnny I don't give a rats as# that works at the local franchise after school is another story.

You got THAT right, my friend.  That is what is wrong with A LOT of things now-a-days.

How about they just do it the way they did years ago, like when the first started.

seems to me that THAT is exactly what is happening!  i've just been in wendy's twice this past week - the second time was to see if the first time was a fluke or error on the employee's part - both times, the junior cheeseburger was the same.

the patty was THICK like they used to be and VERY GOOD. it tasted like meat, not filler.  well worth the $1.00 it cost!!

I went to Wendys today. Had a double. And it was pretty damn good. I think perhaps they are trying to fix things.

Gotta love it.  I went into Wendy's, the menu board said
                Hot and Juicy CHEESEBURGERS
                #1...Single CHEESEBURGER
                #2...Double CHEESEBURGER
I ordered the number one.  The counterperson said "Do you want cheese on that?"

Reminds me of the time when a waitress at Friendly"s came to my table with a carafe of coffee, and seeing no cup on the table asked "Do you want a cup for your coffee?"

My worst (and how I found out how difficult it was to reach Burger King customer service) was when I saw on the menu, "Triple Whopper w. Cheese......$xxxx" (it was several years ago, don't remember the exact price). In any case, since I like figuring out the exact bill while waiting on line, I was surprised that it came to about 60 cents more than I had calculated. I looked, and it turned out that I had been charged sixty cents more than the sign said. When I pointed it out to the manager, she replied, "The w stands for WITHOUT cheese."

                    Sigh.
