      The same way I ate them growing up, just bologna and white bread. If I have them I add chips to it.

                    Yellow mustard and American cheese on white bread.
                     
                    Though I usually go for bologna's better looking older sister, Mortadella. Then it'll get a slice of provolone, maybe some soppressata, and a couple slices of tomato on a crusty roll or Italian bread.

                          A few years ago I told my brother's father-in-law we were going to the Strip District. He asked me to get him a couple of 'ponds' of garlic jumbo.  I had to ask him what the heck that was.

                            To make matters even more complicated, in Western PA they do not call it "shaved", they call it chipped jumbo.  My mother was visiting me once in Boston and she asked for a 1/2 lb. of "chipped jumbo".  The guy behind the counter had NO clue.

                                Nothing like a fried bologna sandwich at the G&R Tavern in Waldo, Ohio. Nice and thick, on a hamburger bun. Most folks get it with sliced onions and pickles. I just want mustard on mine.
                                 
                                At the Red Door Tavern in Columbus they call their versions a Hillbilly Hamburger and a Hillbilly Cheeseburger.
                                 
                                At my campsite we just call it good.
