Hi all - my alias here on the site is Isabelle, which is uncannily similar to my real name. I maintain the anonymity of my real name by adding the additional e at the end--but shhh, don't tell anyone or my cover will be SPOILED! (shiftily casting eyes left and right) My boyfriend and I enjoy visiting non-chain restaurants when we travel. We really travel on our stomachs, unfortunately for mine, which seems to be getting wider. My personal favorite restaurant type is the old-school, supper-club type restaurant. I started writing about a few of them on a friends blog, Museum of Suburbia. Road food is my go-to site--I check for any restaurants to visit whenever we're going on a road trip. I'm a little disappointed that there aren't more of the goodies on the official restaurant ratings--but then I'm reluctant to add some of my own, since I like their undiscovered ambiance (even though most of them have been around forever). Other than that, my other big love is fruitcake, which I also write about on my blog, Mondo Fruitcake. Yes, it's the middle of summer, and I have 7 pounds of fruitcake in my fridge waiting to be reviewed. Also not great for the waistline. Ah well, that's what exercise is for . . . Isabelle

Hey all I'm new to Roadfood and Roadfood forums. I'm in LA right now and I enjoy it! I love cooking, baking, and trying new foods. I gotta start heading out to experience new foods in different cities.

Hey all. I just recently stumbled upon this website while looking for a specific place in Nashville. I am a firm believer at while traveling you need to check out where the locals eat. Why would you travel 1000 miles to eat at a chain location. Makes no sense! I am an avid cookbook collector. Baker-it's a stress reliever! I work in the healthcare field and also bartend part time. Looking forward to poking around here!

Hi! I just joined Roadfood.com. My name is Sue and we live in south central Louisiana, between Lafayette and New Orleans. My husband and I like to take a ride on the Harley to find different restaurants, diners, dives, cafe's to have a good Sunday lunch. We have eaten everything from Beignets in (New Orleans) to all the best fried seafood you can find in Louisiana. We eat anything from burgers to a complete meal, seems we never have room for dessert. So if anyone has any great restaurants or Mom and Pop type Cafe's in Louisiana that they want us to try, please post to me. I have a list of good places: Yellow Bowl, Jeanerette, La; Landry's (Hwy90) Jeanerette, La; Bayou Delight, Houma, La; Fezzo's, Scott, La; Middendorf's, Manchac, La; Crawfish Town USA, Henderson, La; Pat's Fisherman's Wharf, Henderson, La; Steamboat Restaurant, Washington, La; Mr Lester's (Steakhouse) Cafe Bayou, Loco's, Rik Rak all located in Cypress Bayou Casino/Shorty's Charenton, La; The Cabin, Burnside, La. Thanks!

[size=3 font="times new roman"] I just recently joined this site. Looks like a very informative and fun place! I'm a self-taught cook, but can't bake to save my life. I collect cookbooks an I am always trying to one-up recipes to make them mo' betta. I currently reside in the Land Of Cream Of Mushroom Soup - Minnesota. Nothing to exciting going on up here culinary wise. And to those I offend....sorry. But after living in NY, LA, Chicago and the South for many years, I was spoiled by an array of culinary delights and all kinds of restaurants. Hello to everyone!!
