I don't have that book but I do have a wonderful fun memory of him. It was the morning of the Sugar Bowl game between New Orleans and Syracuse. The lobby of the Hyatt, connected to the dome, was a festive place. Justin Wilson was there and came up to me and asked me if I would join him in an umbrella dance around this large lobby. Of course, I said "yes". What fun that morning was ! Shortly, after the dance he approached me with a glass of lovely champagne!

I also have that book, but alas... Mine's from 1986 with a cover sticker price of $6.95. Eighth printing.

I have this one, the follow up, "Gourmet / Gourmand", "Outside Cooking with Inside Help", and "Louisiana Home Grown." Loved the man, loved his show, love the books.

I have two of his cookbooks and watched him on PBS most Saturday mornings back in the 80's - he was truly one of a kind - the stories he told as he was cooking were priceless - and I still make his After Thanksgiving Gumbo recipe almost every year after - well - Thanksgiving. He was a cooking show pioneer - much like Julia Child.

I am looking for a copy of the 1979 JW:2 cookbook to complete my set. I miss having him on PBS. They do show reruns of his on RFDTV now if I only got that channel.
