MONTREAL - The deal is done for nearly $10 million and the declaration has been made: There will be only one Schwartz’s deli, and it stays on the Main. Franchising had been rumored for some time - and, especially when someone is plunking down that kind of coin for the operation, you have to wonder how they plan to recoup their investment. Used to be $10M in Canadian money was only about $345 US, but now not so much.
