Why isn't Kenny & Ziggy's (Houston, TX) reviewed on Roadfood? Mon, 04/2/12 9:40 AM (permalink)
I figure someone has to have an opinion, someone should have tried it. I was watching Diners/Drive-ins/Dives, and they were featured on a "customers tell us to try this place" segment.
Just going by the way they present themselves, it's got to be worth a taste. They cure their own corned beef and pastrami, they make all their baked goods (pies, cakes, pastries, bread and rolls, etc) from scratch, the servings are huge...
Okay, it's not Texas-regional, but if I were in Houston, and wanted a deli sandwich, and ate at a Subway because I didn't know Kenny & Ziggy's was nearby, I'd be pissed when I found out.
Even if it's BAD, someone should try it and say it doesn't live up to the hype!
