Lamar's - Chattanooga, TN

I'm currently in Chattanooga. Last night (Tu) we tried to go to Lamar's only to learn that they are only open Thur - Sat. The place is sketchy (that is being kind) and I don't know if I can get the wife to go back. Has anyone been to Lamar's? If so, please let me know your thoughts. If the feedback is postive I should be able to convince her to make a return trip. If not does anyone have any suggestions for stellar fried chicken in Chattanooga?
