Unfortunately, my favorite frites  are in Belgium.  When I lived in the north of France we would go to Mons, Belgium on Sunday nights to eat frites.  They are such a big deal there that there are vendors that sell only frites and sausages and I've been told they make a fortune.  My favorite was frites with Sauce Americaine which was a spicy mayonnaise/ketchup dipping sauce.  And wash it all down with a Belgian Chimay beer! 

Have any of our Portlanders had the Pastami & Cheese Fries at Kenny & Zukes?
Are they as good as they sound?

Had I known earlier, I would have gone to the "O" and ordered a medium fries.  Of course, that would be enough to last for the rest of the week.

Some of my favorite fries are from Dragonfly in Truckee, CA
