Dearborn to Sault Ste Marie

I'm heading north in August on a mini-vacation, going to the Ford Museum/Village complex in Dearborn then up to Sault Ste Marie, with a side excursion to Whitefish Point. I have a stop planned at Miller's Bar in Dearborn for burgers, but I'm hoping for a few ideas for food along (or close to) I-75 for the rest of the Dearborn to Sault Ste Marie jaunt. TIA, Bill

The last time I was in Ste. St. Marie, I stayed at the Ojibway Hotel that was built in 1906. I had a room that overlooked the See Locks and enjoyed their whitefish in their restaurant. It was very good. The location is outstanding located just a few feet from the locks, museum and a good display of Gordon Lightfoot's famous tribute to the iron freighter that sunk during one of Superior's famous storms. I won`t tell You that The Fish House has the best Whitefish anywhere, My Wife and I think so, but I will tell You that I don`t think You will find it any fresher. Tom Brown fishes in the morning on Lake Superior, comes in with the days catch, and dresses it in the back room of the restaurant. From His knife, it goes into the fryer or broiler, and out to Your table. Tom Brown and His daughter and son who cook and run the restaurant will deliver some top quality Lake Superior Whitefish, and if they are not to busy stop and say "Hello". Most of the summer, they are running trying to keep up with the people in line.

Sorry, the restaurant is about 2 or 3 blocks west of the main intersection in Paradise, on the north side of the road.
