I heard a report that the GA Pig in Brunswick has closed. Can anyone verify?

Sudie- Unfortunately, it is true, as was reported here. Looks like a new bbq place is moving in, if they haven't already,

I can't believe I missed this story last spring. We must have eaten there shortly before it closed. My GA connection reported to me that it's boarded up. Any news on the Southern Soul BBQ? From the DD&D clip it looks molar-achingly sweet.

The Ga Pig will probably remain vacant awhile, the county was going to make ssbbq bring the old shack up to code. For good cue 1 mile west of 95 Gary Lee's market is good. Or for the best shrimp B&J's north in Darien is the best.

I can't imagine that old shack coming up to anybody's idea of code short of demolition. Thanks for the tip about Gary Lee's. In the winter, we are on 95 a lot, traveling between Tybee and our son's home in Jacksonville, and we would stop at either the Georgia Pig or B&J's on the way home. We'll give Gary Lee's a try.
