thoughts on rewarding loyal customers

Hi everyone. I'd like to start off by saying this isn't a sales post, but hey if you are interested we won't stop ya :)
 
We are interested in restaurant and food truck owners opinions on running a rewards program and if you are running one how well is it working for you?

I own a restaurant, from time to time I pick up the check, regardless of amount, of my real regulars. I look at it the same way a Bartender slings out a beer/drink on the house. I also have NEVER charged any County Sheriffs or State Troopers...I haven't gotten anything except warning tickets in the past 11 years, many of them!
