Taking my high-school senior on a final road trip ... Nashville to Purdue University (West Lafayette, IN) to Miami University (Oxford, Ohio). Looking for breakfast and dinner spots in our destination locations. As always, thanks for any recommendations!!

Since you don't mention any routes and I-65 runs from Nashville to W. Lafayette, are you planning on sticking to the interstates for most of your trip?

Triple XXX at Purdue is a natural...Raodfood listed, been there twice, both times for college tours to Purdue. Does breakfast all day, and burgers all day. Both times at Miami of Ohio, i passed on the food and instead went to Dayton. There, the Pines is a really good choice.

Last year I enjoyed the tamales at Indy's The Tamale Place and it's not too far from the highway. If you're in the mood for barbecue in the Lafayette area, South Street Smokehouse on South Street is pretty good but beware of road construction.
