JB's is Gone

Connecticut has few enough barbecues as it is. Joe Katz, who originally tipped us off to JB's -- an excellent drive-through in Danbury -- reports that JB's has closed. With Duke's of Monroe gone, too, that leaves precious little smoke wafting through Connecticut's air.

Wood's pit is Mexican AND BBQ....am i correct? I heard good stuff about them.

Yes, the Wood Pit is both Mexican and BBQ. I usually go for the BBQ, though. It's REALLY good. I like it better than Uncle Willy's. When I tried Willy's I found the ribs to be very tough. Wood ribs have always been very tender although sometimes the beef ones don't have much meat on them. As for the mexican stuff, It's good too but when I want mexican I usually got to Hartford (Coyote Flaco).
