Panera Brownies & Blondies

I don't know if there are any Panera fans out there, but it is one of my favorite fast food options in my area of suburban Chicago. A while back they used to offer these really wonderful, rich, dense brownies and blondies. I have not seen them for almost two years now and they have since been replaced with a lame-ass cake like brownie. Does anybody know if they still exist in another market? Just curious...

Interesting. I'm in Panera a couple of times a week for coffee, and occasionally for a mini-Asiago loaf. I've never noticed any of the pasteries, though.

Most of the pastries that I have had are very good. The coffee cake with the apple, cherry and cheese is mighty fine. The cookies are great, if you like cruchy and not soft. The mini bundnt cakes are good too. Actually the only things in the pastry selection that I am not crazy about are those lame replacement brownies and something the call a "cobblestone" which is a big sticky bun thingy.

The reason I don't notice the pastries is that I don't eat sweets. Never did like them.

You mean there's some place in America that doesn't have a Panera's or a St. Louis Bread Co., which is the same chain.
