I thought you might be interested to know that Threadgill's in Austin, TX, is featured in a one-page story titled "Lone Star Steak", primarily about their chicken-fried steak, in the Spring 2004 issue of Unlimited (the Marlboro Magazine). Unlimited says,The restaurant is "a bonanza for endless appetites," raves Roadfood.com, "particularly for those smitten with Southern and/or Texas cooking."
