Hinkle's (Madison, IN) Mon, 12/10/12 12:53 PM (permalink)
Now that we finally have a touch of snow on the ground I'm thinking about 2013 road trips, and Madison, Indiana is on my list of potential places for an overnight stay (Clifty Falls State Park).  Madison is home to Hinkle's (how many locations are there and is this the original?) and it's mentioned a number of times here on RF, but I'm curious about the burgers.  According to the website the traditional burger involves pickles and grilled onions, but are the onions grilled separately or are they part of the burger cooking process?  Also, does Hinkle's serve up a good BPT?  Thanks!

As an aside, I'm planning a route that will take me through Commiskey, Indiana so I can grab a bite at Lurton's Country Cafe as well.
