Ed I still think fondly of the meal we shared in OC back in 2006. I was back there in October for a couple nights and went back to that same place. Once again I ordered a live fish and had it cooked to order. I'm very sad to hear of the loss of your daughter Lindsay. Take care my friend.

Thank you for your kind words, Mike. Today is especially tough. Tonight we might have gone out for Chinese at that same place or one of her other favorite places to celebrate her birthday. Dim sum for her birthday had been a regular since she was a tiny tyke----she absolutely loved it. Yes, She was born January 14, 1986. Today she would have been 27. I am not sure how I am going to make it through this day. I'm sorry I missed you this last October, it would have been fun reconnecting and maybe going a few different places. Let's make sure we can do it next time you are out. I remember the time we had and it was certainly a pleasure to visit with you. thanks again for the kind words about Lindsay. She didn't drink, but you could certainly hoist an egg roll in her memory today. Take care, my friend.

That was an incredible and moving tribute. You drew a beautiful painting of the love and shared interests you had with your daughter, all the way to the end. I'm so sorry for your loss. I think, though, the spirit of her, you described, rubbed off on all us readers. Life is short, enjoy and love as much as possible - she seemed to live that way!
