Shoneys-why are so many locations closing up?

In the early 1990s You could find Shoneys all over Florida,Only two remain.On their facebook page all I hear is people asking why locations closed up. Whats going on with Shoneys and do they still have their Shoneys Inn motel chain? Can anoyone fill me in. Its everywhere they are closing restaurants.
