Need some recommendations -- taking my college-bound son for accepted students events at DePaul and Purdue universities.
Recommendation for Thursday evening -- in/around the Indianapolis area or further north.
Friday/Saturday breakfast/lunches in Chicago -- already have our favorite pizza places and dinners covered with reservations
Sunday night in West Lafayette/Lafayette
Monday dinner south of Indianapolis -- or in/around Louisville.
It never fails that Roadfooders help me discover a gem on my travels. Thanks for any/all recommendations!

Might I ask, what are your Chicago choices? Just curious, not planning to influence you in any way. In West Lafayette, you'll find some serviceable Barbecue at South Street Smokehouse. Here's the Roadfood review: http://www.roadfood.com/R...outh-street-smokehouse It's good, not great 'Que, but it's as good as you're going to find in West Lafayette, Indiana on a Sunday night. For a totally out of this world "family" meal I would say Joe Hubers Family Restaurant in Starlight, IN for the Monday evening meal. The place is about 20-25 miles from I-65 in Louisville/New Albany. They are open from 11am to 7pm http://www.joehubers.com/ The food is top notch, you will not be disappointed!
