Solar Charger

I was wondering if any of you have outfitted your cart with a trickle style solar charger? I was thinking of throwing one on my new cart to keep my water pump battery charged and possibly add more batteries to run lights at night. I'd appreciate any feedback/experience you guys might have. thanks!

I worked with electric lights at a Club. They had an electric outlet in the rock garden. If there isn't any electricity I think a couple of Coleman lanterns would make a nice atmosphere and a lot of light to do business without a bunch of trouble and not very expensive.

A small trickle charger should keep your battery up.
The issue is the payback on investment. 12V LED's don't burn much energy and a healthy battery won't drain too much. A regular charger would suffice.
I have a small solar set up at home that I use for power outages.
I wanna get an Edgestar 12V/120V reefer/freezer to keep in my tow vehicle. Would plug into 120V at night, but would be cool to have it charging during the day on the job.

I have thought about this quite a bit.  I have even looked into it a bit online, however being in downtown Portland doesn't always allot me much on the solar side, i see much more shade than sun some days.
 
I know harbor freight has a relatively cheap setup but the panels are pretty big and the technology is pretty dated- you don't get much charge from how big the panels are.

The Solar co. here in portland on Presumpscot st, is not far from my storage space and i was thinking of going in and consulting my options with them.  If i hear anything worthwhile i will get back to ya.

I saw some panels on amazon for around 30 dollars. The panel is 8x10 and it comes with a controller to regulate the charge so you don't over charge the batteries. I think I might pick one up and try it just to see how it works.
