On my Easter plate along with the ham and potatoes are pickled peaches.
When Sharon moved to California, 15 years ago she was surprised that we don't have pickled peaches in the markets... at all.
I thought she was referring to spiced peaches, but no.
I've looked for them every time we'd go to Texas and this time I found them.
They are not sweet at all. They're pickled with vinegar!
Not crazy about the consistency because they're mushy.
I think they're an acquired taste.
