Securing Subfloor Fri, 05/24/13 8:56 AM (permalink)
Hello everyone, I'm excited to be installing my floor on Saturday, but am curious how other people have secured their sub-floor. I've searched through the threads, but haven't found anything specific. As I've said before, I have a traditional background in carpentry, so I'm used to glue and a lot of screws.

I will be using a T&G 4'x8' sub-floor. I know there are several products out there in 2'x2' tiles that float over the substructure, but I wondered what you guys have had the best luck with?

Do you use liquid nails and screws? Do you screw into the frame and aluminum truck floor, or do you guys just use liquid nails? I would like to avoid any unnecessary penetrations in my floor.

As always, your input is appreciated! Thank you.

Joe
