Which one is cheaper and easier to build? Any experience? Just got my loan fully approved and am ready to work on one.

You build it the way you want it, so he question is kinda moot. The question should be..."Who's instructions are better?"  I wouldn't know, but I know Ben sells a "kit" that may help.

yes, I like bens kit. so all you have to do is build the cart body. plus if you dont have a kit, you have to buy all the stuff yourself and figure out how to make it all work together.

I have both sets of dvd plans. Bens fire box is built much better. Also think Bens dvds show a little more, it has 8 discs. The other has 5 discs. I am going to sell both sets, I don't need them any longer.
        Hope this info helps,
        Mike

Alright, just wondering you guys. What other tools do I need to estimate costs for? I have a Jig Saw, Miter Saw and a drill lol. That's all I need I hope?

You could probable do it with those tools, but a circular saw would make the longer sheet cuts easier.

Don't forget the EZ Cart Dvd and instructions by Steve Shaible....that's what I used!

I like both folks! Great very helpful. You might want to check both of them out. Call them. One may have more info in the literature department that you might need to know in order to run your business, like things you need to know about bookkeeping and web sites design etc.

Don't get in a hurry. Take your time. I said this before, not having any hot dog vendors in your town is not necessarily a sign that you're going to make a killing. Maybe people in your town don't eat many hot dogs.

I only see one hot dog vendor in my town at Home Depot. I've known him personally for years and he isn't doing great either. It's all about location. Not only the location where you're going to set up, but the location where you live.

You'll starve to death trying to sell Alligator tail in most any part of the US except Florida and New Orleans for the most part. Tourist and the locals in those areas will eat anything. I don't think they will eat Alligator tail in Cheyenne Wyoming.

Take it easy and go slow. If there are 25 hot dog vendors in you town that's been in business for ten or more years and everyone in their family are driving new cars, order a dozen hot dog carts built, and just make a loan.

I'm not trying to be sarcastic. I'm just trying to help you to be more in tune then I was when I started looking into this.

I was wondering, does Benscart's DIY Cart have an online video content instead of the DvD? Can't wait to work on it since it's the weekends. Only free days off as well, Sat->Tues.

                      Bobby,
I see you are in California. Before you start your cart, be sure to meet with your health department to find out what you need to pass their inspection. CA's regulations are the toughest in the country.
