Lived in Pensacola for 16 years. Left in 2000.
Up until that time there were no memorable places in FWB.
    Can't speak for after 2000.
    Try Destin or Pensacola.
I just did a search in Urbanspoon for FWB. They Said:
"We couldn't find any restaurants for "Fort Walton Beach FL"

I go to FWB every October.  My favorite restaurant there is Stewby's, on Racetrack Rd.  Buffetbuster, this is the place I was telling you about yesterday.  Fresh fish every day...low prices, high quality.  You can't go wrong here.
I also like High Tide, just past the first bridge to Destin.  If you go to Destin, try McGuire's Irish Pub, on the left.  They make Reuben spring rolls that are really wonderful, and Senate bean soup for 18 cents a bowl.

Your description of Stewby's made me want to hop on the next plane for FWB!

There's a great little breakfast/brunch place, Neighborhood Cafe, on the Mary Esther Cutoff (393) just past the Santa Rosa Mall.   If you're on 98, hang right onto 393 and go about a mile, it's on the left in a strip center.  Otherwise, don't think you can beat Stewby's.

We went to the local seafood market and bought a just caught Pompano. They dressed it out and it was really good.

For fried seafood you can't beat Dewey Destin's out by Crab Island. (not the one in the harbor)

If you like steamed seafood the Old Bay Steamer on Okaloosa Island is a must. Definitely the best steamed seafood I've ever had.

Only I can tell you that Fresh fish will be the good food available in the market and even you can go for a prawns fish.
