Not sure.  Who are you ordering from?  We just shipped out several big batches over the last couple of weeks, and have more in the pipeline.

If you you've got any more specifics, I can try to get better answers for you.

By the way, why don't they carry any of your other sauces? We're almost out of the Hot, Sweet and Tangy.

Controlled distribution allows the market for this popular sauce to be in constant flux much like the FCOJ market in Trading Places

A buck, eh? Now, who in the world would bother to make a bet for a measly one dollar?

Mosca, I can't swear to it, but the website you've linked us to is probably supplied by a distributor we work with in North Carolina.  We just shipped them a large order which included Southern Sunset.  Hotsauce.com should be able to get more in stock through them.

There is another possibility: Southern Sunset is not our most popular item.  Hotsauce.com may have just decided to drop that SKU due to slow sales, then claim it's "On indefinite backorder due to manufacturer's shipping delays."  Unfortunately, it's not an uncommon practice.  That's the same answer to Michael Hoffman regarding our "Hot, Sweet & Tangy" product and The Anderson's store in Columbus.  We offer all four products to all our distributors and retailers.  Sadly, we can't force them to buy all of them

I can assure you, we're still making the stuff, and distributors are still buying it.  After that, I have very little control over which retail outlets carry which items.  There are other websites that carry our sauces.  You might have better luck with one of them in ordering Southern Sunset.

P.S. CTD, quit getting into my trunk!

I love the Roadhouse BBQ, I think My Favorite Is The Hot & Spicy. A great way to use it is:  Put sauce in pan (Original or Hot & Spicy), pour a little oil (vegetable) and stir, Heat sauce at a low temperature, the oil will rise to the top, I use a turkey baster & suck oil off top & reserve. When grilling I baste the Meat with the oil to give some crispiness, then use remaining sauce for serving or add right before pulling meat off, works especially well with skin on chicken, pork chops & ribs. I've been doing this for about 18 years or so, after I met Jeff Sanders, it's creator. It is also a great additive to burgers or meatloaf.

It would appear he does, although I'm embarrassed to say I can't place Ed's Face (sorry, couldn't help myself).  Of course, after 18 years and hundreds of demos in more than a dozen cities, I hope Mr. Face can forgive me.  I'm glad he's gotten continued enjoyment from our products and hope he'll clear up my foggy memory with a little more information.

I sell sauce for Billy Olson at Olbro. I met Jeff some time ago in Chicago when we were working a food show.

Ed, maybe you can confirm; Olbro (one of our distributors) will sell to the public and does have Southern Sunset in stock.  As an insider, perhaps you can tell interested parties how to order from Olbro.  Or is Billy not interested in pursuing that end of the business?

We sell case lots of Roadhouse to places that sell single bottles. We will ship, but customer has to pay shipping costs. Or, if someone is driving in our area, we could make arrangements and we could split a case or two (I need some myself) or let me know if I can be of any help.
