The Dog House-Help ???? Sun, 04/18/04 7:44 PM (permalink)
There use to be a placed called the Dog House that sold foot long hotdogs and pizza when I would drive to Atlantic City from Maryland. I do not know if I was in Delaware or New Jersey when I use to stop there and eat in the early 1980's. Does anyone know this place and if it is still in business, how do I get there.

Thank You,

It's real simple to get there. Just head up 95 completely thru Maryland, and into Delaware follow the signs for New York and the Delaware Memorial Bridge. The highway will break into 2 parts at New Castle, you want to be in the right lanes heading for the bridge. After it completely separates, the road will take a sharp turn towards the right as you continue heading for the bridge. The next exit you see will be US 13 the Dupont Highway. Exit to the right (South). The sign will probably say Dover. The Dog House is on the left, maybe thru 2 traffic lights. You cannot miss it.

When leaving just head north on 13 a few hundred yards back to 295 and continue on your way to Atlantic City, where you'll be stopping at the White House I hope, for the absolute best italian cold cut and cheesesteak subs on the planet.

Thank you so much for the directions.

I want to go next month and did not know if it was still there since I have not been there is the 1980's.

        Thank you again,
