What do you like on top of ice cream?

This brought back memories of a place in Wayne, NJ called Zips. Oh man - we would visit my Aunt & Uncle and on the way my parents would go to the butcher. Next to them, was the Holy Grail of childhood destinations - Zips Ice Cream Parlor had a toppings bar that you put on yourself. As much as you wanted and anything you wanted. Oh man did I love that place. Hot fudge, marshmallow sauce, wet walnuts, sprinkles, cherries - ahahahaha - pure joy. It was a guaranteed belly-ache, sugar high, and ice cream headache all rolled into one. The best

I prefer sweet cream frozen custard with sliced bananas......... mmmmmm.

Does anybody remember Elmer's Ice Cream Topping from New Orleans? This was heaven in a jar, especially on top of Brown's Velvet Cream Cheese Ice Cream (also from New Orleans). The local Albertsons USED to carry the ice cream, but the only place I've found the topping is on the internet. Anybody have other ideas?

If it ain't broke,don't fix it.....premium ice cream(why would you buy anything else?) doesn't need anything,lesser quality,perhaps some hersheys syrup.....and to LUCKY BISHOP,if you haven't tried crushed alka-selter tabs on maple walnut,don't knock it.

Vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce, hershey's sauce, whipped cream and nuts. Or, vanilla ice cream with hershey's sauce, whipped cream and peanut butter. YUM!
