Gooey Ooey Double Devon Cream

I have been hooked on this English Double Devon Cream for a while now - spooned onto scones or waffles and topped with fresh blueberries or strawberries. It's unsweetened, but with a fresh flavor like the cow lived in my backyard. Or something like that. On the jar I have it says you can stir the stuff into sauces and soups, too. Has anyone else fallen in love with this bad-for-you dairy treat, too?

I've gazed at it in the market, but have never tried it. I may have to now. As far as it being bad for you, at least it is pure and unrefined.

This is some of the best stuff. The only way I can get it is order it from King Arthur Flour, our local stores don't carry it. It's worth the postage. Clotted cream is also good on scones.

The traditional British way to eat clotted cream (and I've eaten it in Cornwall, which is a British country known for its clotted cream), is on British style scones, with real jam and clotted cream. It's heavenly! NC Penguin

See my post on the "breakfast" thread on the Breakfast board re: clotted cream from Cornwall. Hubby's great aunt used to make it. Jennie
